JOB DESCRIPTION: The position is a skilled labour role, in which the roofer works within a team, reporting to the site formeman to lay a variety of roofs on industrial, institutional and commercial buildings. Responsibilities include: - Install, repair or replace conventional 4 ply (built up roofing) systems using materials such as asphalt, saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. - Install, repair or replace modified bitumen (mod-bit)roofing. - Install, repair or replace single ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics or asphalt compositions. - Retrofit, repair and resurface roofs. - Apply waterproof coatings where necessary. -Set up scaffoldingto provide safe access to roofs. APPLICANTS PROFILE: - Journeyman Cerificate (Gesellenbrief) and at least one year working experience - English ARBEITSBEGINN: So bald wie möglich nach Erteilung der Arbeitsgenehmigung. CONDITION OF CONTRACT: - Salary: 25 CAN$ per hour. - 40 hrs / week with opportunities for overtime. - Fringe Benefit: Flight, temporary accomodations and local transportation for a period of 90 days. - Duration of contract: 1 to 2 years depending on the issued work permit.
