Due to our ongoing success within the EAME region and planned forthcoming expansion, the following position is now available, based in Neuss (Germany).
R&D Engineer, POS Applications EAME
Europe, Africa & Middle East
Typical Duties:
Develop and test customer specific point-of-sale and related applications with the following components:
o Programming Languages
Visual C++ for both Win32 and Win.CE devices
.Net Framework, preferable using C#.
o Database
SQL coding
Maintains high quality standards while still developing software on schedule.
Tasks include writing functional specifications, design documentation, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration, performance tuning, and maintenance of assigned software modules.
Assists testers and customer service with problem resolution and troubleshooting, as needed.
Post deployment handover of project to EAME product management team.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years related software development experience.
Experience reading and translating specifications and technical documents.
Solid knowledge of C++ development, testing and integration. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP network and serial device programming.
Approaches tasks with analytical perspective; ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Maturity and ability to deal with clients and senior company managers in a professional and constructive way.
Ability to deal with technical and non-technical personnel.
Professional skills. Knowledge of the English language (both written and speech) is a must, second language beneficial.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Valid Passport.
Valid Drivers License.
Knowledge of the food service industry is a plus but not required
