Andøya Spaceport officially opened in November 2023,  and became Europe’s first operational launch site for small satellite launch vehicles (SSLVs) in March 2025. The first out of three launch pads is currently in operation and hosted the maiden test flight of ISAR Aerospace’s Spectrum launch vehicle this year.The Operations Department is responsible for preparing for and conducting ground and launch operations at Andøya Spaceport in accordance with established regulations and best safety practices.
