An exciting postdoc position is available to understand the role of autophagy and lysosomal degradation in aging and aging-related diseases.A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at the laboratory of Noor Gammoh, University of Edinburgh. The lab is interested in investigating key events during autophagy initiation, progression, and lysosomal degradation as well as the relevance of autophagy in disease. A current project is available in the lab to uncover molecular events underlying lysosomal degradation of autophagic cargo using a combination of cell biology and biochemical techniques.
